1. Consent and Acceptance — Important
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any application published by Media Saver, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy.
This policy is shown at install and is always accessible inside each App (Settings / About / Privacy Policy) and on our store listing. We show a clear disclosure before collecting any personal or sensitive data where required.
2. Overview
Media Saver builds fast, simple utility apps to help you save and manage your own media files. We respect your privacy and are transparent about data practices.
This policy explains, in accordance with applicable laws including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other relevant regulations:
- What data we and our partners may collect
- Why we collect it and the legal basis
- How it is used, shared, stored and protected
- Your rights and how to exercise them
We do not sell your personal information.
3. What Information We Collect
We follow data minimization. Our Apps work without creating an account or providing your name, email or phone.
3.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide
- Contact Information (only if you contact us): Email, phone, or message content you send to support.
- Feedback: Ratings, reviews, bug reports.
We do NOT require your name, address, payment details or contacts unless you choose to provide them.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
Collected automatically by us or via third-party services (see Section 6):
- Device Info: Model, manufacturer, Android version, language, screen size, resettable IDs (Advertising ID), Android ID.
- App & Log Info: App version, package name, crash logs, diagnostics, feature usage, time in app.
- Network Info: IP address (used for approximate location like city-level only), network type, carrier. We do NOT collect precise GPS unless you grant it.
- Advertising & Analytics: Advertising ID, ad impressions/clicks, aggregated analytics.
- Storage / Media: Accessed ONLY when you grant permission, and ONLY to save the file you requested. We do not scan your gallery in background.
3.3 Information We Do NOT Collect Directly
- Precise location (GPS), contacts, call logs, microphone, camera content, or sensitive categories (health, financial, religion, biometric) — not collected by us directly.
- Saved media stays on your device. We do not upload your files to our servers.
4. How We Use Information
We use information only for legitimate purposes with valid legal basis (Consent, Legitimate Interest, Legal Obligation):
- Provide & Improve Services: Enable saving, bug fixing, crash analysis.
- Personalization: Remember preferences locally on device.
- Support: Respond to your emails and deletion requests.
- Analytics: Aggregated trends to improve stability.
- Advertising: Show relevant ads to keep Apps free (via certified networks).
- Legal & Safety: Comply with law, prevent fraud/abuse.
5. When and With Whom We Share
We do not sell your data. We share only:
- Service Providers & Partners: For analytics, crash reporting, ads (see next section) under contracts.
- Legal Reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights/safety.
- Business Transfers: Merger/acquisition with notice and safeguards.
- With Your Consent: When you tap Share to share a file.
6. Third-Party Services & Ads — Important
Our Apps use trusted third-party services. They operate independently and may collect data directly. Their use is governed by their own privacy policies.

Ad Choices & Opt-Out
- Reset/Delete Ad ID: Settings > Privacy > Ads
- Opt out: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization or Google Ad Settings
- Use Delete advertising ID on Android 12+ to stop personalized ads.
Where required by law (e.g., EEA/UK), we display a consent management platform for your choices.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Our Apps are native Android apps and don't use browser cookies, but partners may use identifiers/pixels to secure the App, remember preferences, cap ads, and measure performance. You can limit tracking by resetting Ad ID, denying permissions, or uninstalling.
8. How We Keep Your Information Safe
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and vet all services. Saved media is stored locally on your device — not on our servers. However, no method is 100% secure. Use a secure device/network and use Apps at your own risk.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention
- Support emails: up to 24 months after resolution
- Analytics held by partners: per their policies (typically 14–26 months)
- Local app data: stays on device until you Clear Data or Uninstall
Deletion
- On Device: Settings > Apps > Media Saver > Storage > Clear Data, or Uninstall
- From Us: Email with subject “DATA DELETION REQUEST” — completed within 30 days
- From Partners: Contact them directly via links in Section 6
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your region (EEA/UK, California, Brazil, India etc.), you may have rights to Access, Correction, Deletion, Objection, Withdraw Consent, and Opt-out of targeted ads. We honor valid requests per law.
How to Exercise: We verify identity and respond within 30 days (45 days for some US states). You may authorize an agent in writing. You may complain to your local data authority if unsatisfied.
Legal bases for EEA: Consent (ads/permissions), Legitimate Interest (analytics/security), Legal Obligation.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove the information.
If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child provided data, contact us immediately so we can delete it. All services are configured for child-directed treatment where required.
12. Proper Use & Intellectual Property
- Your Responsibility: Ensure you have permission from the content owner before downloading/saving/sharing any media.
- No Copyright Infringement: Do not save private/copyrighted content without authorization or violate platform Terms.
- No Hosting: We do not host or mirror third-party content. Downloads go directly to your device.
- Takedown: To report infringement, contact us. Repeat infringement may cause loss of access.
13. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
- Apps are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties.
- We are not responsible for misuse, copyright infringement, privacy violation, or breach of third-party terms by users.
- We are not responsible for loss/damage from content you save/share, third-party ads/links, or unauthorized access despite safeguards.
- To the max extent permitted by law, Media Saver shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or loss of profits/data.
- Your sole remedy is to stop using and uninstall the App.
Third-Party Links & Ads: We don't control them. Review their policies separately. Use at your own risk.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Media Saver from claims arising from your violation of this policy or any law.
14. International Data Transfers
We are based in India. Your info may be processed in India or other countries where partners operate (e.g., US, EU) with different laws. By using Apps, you consent to transfers. Where required, Standard Contractual Clauses are used for EEA/UK transfers.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed.
Material changes will be notified by updating the date and an in-app notice. Continued use after effective date means acceptance. English version governs.

We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. However, during periods of high volume it may take longer — we appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible. Valid data requests are completed within 30 days.
